Quicksilver’s win double in sailing’s Tangier Trophy race

Buckenham SC’s hardiest sailors ventured out on Sunday for some very close racing.

In the Tangier Trophy race Ben Fisher, crewed by father Richard in Javelin Quicksilver, took line honours, but on corrected time was just two seconds ahead of Trevor Whittaker in his Solo Skybird.

Phil Gooch in Solo Witchway took third place, 28 seconds behind Skybird.

In the Allcomers race Quicksilver again took line honours, this time comfortably well ahead of Witchway in second and Skybird in third postion on corrected time.
