Norfolk’s Rebecca Field has been crowned as ladies indoor bows champion.
The 23-year-old from Norwich beat four-times finalist Alison Merrien from Guernsey on the last end of the final tie-break at Potters Leisure Resort in Hopton on Sea to win the world ladies match-play title.
Field made a stunning start to the match, opening an 8-0 lead before Merrien, who won the title in 2011, came back to win six successive ends to reduce the margin to one shot. But Field produced a stunning shot with the last wood of the opening set to take it 11-7. And though she lost the second set 10-8 a full house four towards the end helped steady her nerves for the tie-break, which she won when Merrien fell short with her final wood on the third and deciding end.
Norwich City has released the first images of its new kit for the 2013/14 Premier League season - and released an online video to promote it.
