Great week for Larkwood

FLY FISHING: South Elmham Trout Lakes. After the icy conditions the fish are very hungry. There have been 29 fish caught in three days with the bigger fish being very active.

Rocklands Mere 07900 004953. The lake is now fishable in places. The far end of the lake is totally thawed and within a couple of days the rest of the lake should be totally free of ice.

Larkwood Trout Fishery 01284 728612. It has been an excellent week for Larkwood. The fish are quite close to the surface at the moment. Regular Simon Fogg took two big fish within 10 minutes of each other. Both fish were returned one of 9lb and the other estimated at 12lb 13oz. The rod average is 6½ fish per angler. Best flies have been just about anything best tactics floating line and long leaders. Both lakes are gin clear.
