Rocklands

With the lake now totally thawed out after the cold snap, anglers are enjoying some surprisingly good sport for the time of year.

Paul Rogers, from Taverham, defied the odds and had his best session to date on Saturday, when even in the cold wind he managed to land nine rainbows in total.

Paul was using a floating line and small nymphs such as hare’s ears and pheasant tails… Well done Paul.

With night-time temperatures expected to stay above freezing over the next few days there should be no risk of the lake freezing and with milder daytime temperatures upon us the fish should start to wake from their winter slumber.

For more information call James at the lodge on 01953 483971.
