After 12 hours of hard fought racing less than a lap separated the podium places in the European Fun Cup race which closed Snetterton’s action-packed season on Saturday.

Team OBR, which also recently triumphed in the Silverstone based Birkett Six Hour Relay race, made it a momentous double celebration with a narrow 37 second victory over the chasing Sheradize UK/Solutions Racing team.

The winning team finally took control of the race some 90 laps from the end, only briefly losing the lead when taking the necessary driver exchange.

Also completing 265 laps of the near three mile circuit was Sheradize UK/Solutions Racing who displaced the ECO Racing/Solutions squad just four laps from the finish but neither team could catch the winners.

Result: 1 Team OBR (Mark Burton/Eugene O’Brien/Robert Thomas/Tom Walker) 265 laps; 2 Sheradize UK/Solutions Racing (Marcus Clutton/Peter Belshaw/Phil Keen); 3 ECO Racing/Solutions (Paul Abraham/Jason Simon/Tom Mills/Pat Blankeny); 4 JPR/Team Honeywell (Jonathan Thomas/Scott Fitzgerald/Neil Plummer); 5 Team Racelogice (Julian Thomas/Nigel Greensall/Joachim Ritter/Max Denyer); 6 JPR/Darkside (Jason Porter/Paul Rose/Kevin Williams).
