Will Young is to perform at BT London Live in Hyde Park tonight instead of Tom Jones.
He will replace the It’s Not Unusual singer, who is not well enough to take part in the gig.
Young will perform on the main stage in between broadcasts of the day’s sporting action from the Olympics on giant screens.
The singer said: “I’m sad that Tom Jones can’t do the show, I hope he gets well soon, and am very happy and excited to be playing Hyde Park for the Olympic events tomorrow”.
Newton Faulkner is also scheduled to perform at BT London Live Hyde Park today.
BT London Live Hyde Park will run every day of the Games until August 11. The free event includes live music, have a go sports areas, and more.
The event, which is also taking place in Victoria Park, is a partnership between the Mayor of London, The Royal Parks and The London Borough of Tower Hamlets, and is a key part of the citywide programme of events being organised by the Mayor of London to celebrate the London 2012 Games.
