Gothic A were outplayed and out-classed, losing 9-1, with Lauren and Neil Charles in excellent form.

Gothic A came back with a good team performance against Wensum B, winning 6-4. Chris Durrant and David Henderson both took a brace each, Durrant defeating Oscar Moyes and Henderson just losing in a five-set battle with Jordi Gabriel.

CEYMS C had two wins and a draw; Robin Thaxter was in good form for CEYMS, taking eight of his nine singles. Foxwood A also had two wins and a draw, with Jon Cockburn taking three singles and the doubles against CEYMS B to inspire his team to victory.

In Premier B, Gothic B’s 10-0 win over Harriers C saw them leapfrog Wensum E and Harriers A to top spot. Second-placed Wensum E drew against Harriers B, two excellent wins from Jeremy Cocks securing two points for Harriers. With three games to go UEA were 4-3 up against Electricity, but another strong comeback from Electricity saw them win both singles before a tight doubles match gave them a 6-4 win. Taverham A overwhelmed SFC with a comfortable 8-2 victory, with only Andy Cullum gaining a singles for SFC on the night.

A top-of-the-table clash in Division One saw Returners lose 3-7 to UEA C. Despite six games going the distance, Returners managed to convert only one into a victory, and found themselves 1-7 down before rallying to earn a deserved point. A maximum for Kieran Brady and two each from Kevin Armstrong and Stuart Cooper saw Foxwood F to an 8-2 victory over Hospital Drifters. An inspired maximum from Tony Park swayed the match in favour of Wensum G who beat Foxwood E 6-4. Foxwood G and Gothic C fought out a 5-5 draw.

In Division Two, Missionaries jump back into second with a 9-1 win over Harriers E, avenging their only defeat this season. Taverham C played young Thomas Connelly against CEYMS F and he gained an impressive maximum, but CEYMS’ strength saw them through 6-4.

Returners B overcame Ex Choristers 7-3. Bottom club Wensum H were outgunned by Gothic D 3-7.

UEA D are top of Division Three with Thorpe St Andrew playing catch-up with games in hand. Shelly Telly’s newest recruit Dave Manningham has been picking up singles wins, including a marathon battle against Vicki Reynolds of Club 75, the first game going to 22-20.
