Sprowston Wanderers seem to be enjoying life back in the top flight of the Norwich Sunday League as they recorded their second victory of the season, winning 5-0 at Bungay Town.

The victory saw them two points clear at the top of the table whilst Acle Rangers and reigning champions Riverside Rovers took a point each after a 1-1 draw in an excellent game to watch.

Tom Cullabine scored for the home side, whilst Jamie Riley replied for the visitors, whilst two goals from Callum Cooper and another from Danilo Campoli enabled Horsford United to come from 3-0 down to draw with Schoolhouse. DE FC started their season with a 5-1 (George Diggens 3, Fionn Goodwin-Wright, og) over Trimingham Pilgrims and there were hat tricks for Vaughan Stevenson and Ben Fowkes as Poringland Wanderers won 8-2 at Farmhouse. Chris Lay and Will Harrowing were also on target.

In Division One, after recording a big win on the opening day, Brooke were brought back to earth with a bump as they went down 6-1 at Hewett OB's. Ben Potts (2), Ashley Smith, Callum Speck, Nathan Page and Craig McKail all scored for the home side who look a force to be reckoned with this season. Hellesdon also made it two from two with a 3-0 win at Windmill Wanderers, whilst Phoenix won their opening game of the season 5-1 at home to Rose Athletic. The Middle Green gained quick revenge for their defeat at Aslacton last week by winning the home tie 3-1.

Woolpack lead the way in Division Two after a 6-1 win at Vale Longo, and top the table on goal difference from Drayton Dazzlers, who beat Mischief 7-2. Marlborough hit six without reply at home to Barracks FC and Briston Wanderers' first game of the current campaign began with a 5-3 win over Sprowston Ath Wildcats.

DCS Rapid followed up last week's good start with a 4-0 win at Silver Fox and top the early tables on goal difference from Norman Wanderers A who won by the odd goal of five at Brooke Res. Harleston Town beat Dynamo 3-1, whilst Newsman Celtic will be pleased with their 5-1 victory at East Tuddenham. There was a point each for Hempnall and Acle Rangers Res after a 2-2 draw which was also the outcome in the game between MC Rovers and Bungay Town Res.

Hethersett Ath Res ran out 6-1 (Adam Waters 3, Matt Pummell, Dan Payne, Chris Brownbridge) winners at Nelson Athletic in Division Four.

Rackheath Rangers were 2-1 winners at Sporting Iceni whilst Ian Beeden and Matt Billing scored for FC Viking as they beat Eaton Park Corinthians 2-1.

Rose Athletic Res won by the same score (Andy Bajomee 2) at Woodton United.

It was a dramatic end to the game between AFC Norwich and Cellar House as a last minute Simon Kett goal, his second of the game, gave Cellar House all three points in a 3-2 win. Dominic Morris was the visitors' other scorer.

Games in Division Five saw Qube FC hit 11 as they beat FC Viking Res and Aylsham scored five without reply against Firside. Watton United also scored five (Tom Rayner 3, Harry Brown, Liam Eaging) when beating Ashill and AG Athletic made it two from two with a 4-2 win at Easton. Dan Shurey netted all for goals for Athletic

In the Under 19's Old Catton's good start continued with a 6-1 (Charlie Peberday 3, Jack Nunn, Aiden Wickham, Tyler Rolfe) win at Acle Rangers and Mulbarton Wanderers got off the mark with a 5-2 (Edward Bird 2, Andrew Hart 2, Jack Wright) win at Heigham Park Rangers.

Scole were 3-0 (Harry Brookes, Kieran Manning, Callum Nash) winners at Hethersett Athletic, whilst Reepham Town scored four of the seven goals in their game with St Andrews. Long Stratton and Cringleford shared the points and six goals.
