Schoolhouse continue to set the pace at the top of the Norwich Sunday League Premier Division as September came to a close.

Their 8-2 home win over Horsford FC, including a treble from Harry Maddison, keeps them a point ahead of Phoenix, who beat Trimingham Pilgrims by the odd goal of seven.

Acle Rangers are third after beating Hewett OB's 3-1 and Poringland Wanderers have the same amount of points in fourth after winning 2-0 at The Middle Green.

With Division One leaders Woolpack inactive, Mischief FC took the opportunity to move level on points courtesy of a narrow 3-2 (Theo Chamberlin, Oliver Johnson, Elliot Lake) win at home to Marlborough.

Brooke Res will be pleased to have recorded a 4-3 win at Aslacton whilst Mad Moose had a good 5-3 (Freddie Turner 2, Marc Howard, Bradley Cullum, Luke Barber) victory against Windmill Wanderers. There were first victories for Norman Wanderers, 5-1 over Barracks and Vale Longo who beat Hethersett Athletic 2-1 with Dru Brown and Jatinder Dhaliwal scoring for Longo.

Silver Fox maintained their perfect start to the season, although they were made to work hard for their 2-1 win over Newsman Celtic. Hempnall continued in the same vein as the leaders, beating East Tuddenham 6-0 and an own goal alongside an Ian Beeden strike were enough to move FC Viking up to third. Bungay Town and AFC Norwich shared eight goals and there were three points for Dynamo FC, 2-1 victors over Acle Rangers Res.

It's five from five now for Division Three pacesetters Watton United. They came away from their game against AG Athletic as 6-1 winners and are three points ahead of Easton FC, who came from two down to beat Cellar House 5-2 – Ricky Bevis getting a hat trick for Easton. Sporting Iceni won 3-1 at Rackheath Rangers and FC Viking made it a good day for the club as Danny Cramp, Jack Delorme and Dom Stephenson scored in a 3-1 win at Eaton Park Corinthians. An equaliser deep into stoppage time gave Woodton United a point against Nelsons Athletic in a 2-2 draw.

In Division Four, morning leaders Salhouse Rovers suffered their first defeat of the season as they went down 2-1 at home to Cringleford. Rovers stay top a point ahead of Moose Park Rangers who won 9-2 at Old Catton. Holt United made the long trip to Earsham but were beaten 4-2, whilst Cherry Tree scored six as they were winning at Felthorpe. Long Stratton scored four of the seven goals in their game at Hellesdon and there was a point each for Yelverton and Mulbarton Wanderers as they drew 1-1.
