It was a bright but chilly morning that greeted everybody – ideal conditions for football.

In the Premier Division, Schoolhouse remain six points clear at the top after scoring nine at Farmhouse.

Riverside Rovers, who have three games in hand on the leaders, were 3-1 (Jason Armes 2, Duane Easthall) victors at Horsford.

Acle Rangers went down to their second successive defeat – they were beaten 2-1 (Hayden Davis, Matty Eves) at Sprowston Wanderers, whilst Poringland Wanderers bounced back from the previous week’s thumping with Ben Fowkes, with a brace, and Ryan Cook scoring as they beat DE FC 3-1.

Trimingham Pilgrims made the long trip to Bungay Town worthwhile by taking a point in a 2-2 draw. Stuart Campbell and Pat Hudson scored for the home side.

I saw the game between the top two in the First Division as The Middle Green visited Brooke.

The home side took the lead within the first 15 minutes when Owen Page flicked home a free-kick from around 10 yards and this goal was added to when, following a long throw, Ben Nichols stabbed the ball home from close range.

Middle Green, though, had their moments and Dom Doggett looked particularly dangerous. But it was the home side that saw the game out without further goals. Despite the score, this was an even game, but Brooke just had the edge when it came to the 18-yard box.

Hewett OB’s remained in touch after a big win over Norman Wanderers Reserves, whilst Hellesdon scored eight without reply when beating Rose Athletic. Longdale Rovers were 5-2 (Tibor Megyesi 3, Kyle Jameson, Jamie Platten) winners at Aslacton and Phoenix beat Windmill Wanderers 6-2

In Division Two, leaders Woolpack visited second-placed Mischief FC and increased their lead at the top by winning 3-2, Tom Blake (2) and Daniel Mace scoring. Drayton Dazzlers are four points behind Woolpack with two games in hand after beating Barracks 8-3 and Marlborough got back to winning ways as they scored three at home to Mettingham. Mad Moose and Hethersett Ath shared four goals, and the points, whilst Sprowston Athletic and Vale Longo also took a point each after a 1-1 draw.

Brooke Reserves march on at the top of Division Three after a 5-1 win at Acle Rangers Reserves.

Lewis Knight helped himself to a hat-trick, with other goals from Tom Knight and Tyrone Parish.

DCS Rapid remain three points behind after a 2-1 win at home to Harleston Town, whilst it was unlucky for some, in this case Dynamo FC, as MC Rovers hit them for 13. Bungay Town Reserves are on a great run and won 4-0 (Reece Evans 2, Callum Ling 2) at Hempnall, whilst Silver Fox beat East Tuddenham by the same score. Norman Wanderers A collected three points as they beat Newsman Celtic by the odd goal in five, Luke Southgate (2) and Chay Liddiment getting the goals.

The big game in Division Four saw leaders AFC Norwich beat the morning’s second placed FC Viking 4-1 (James Wheeler 3, Dan Goodnight).

Hethersett Ath Reserves took advantage, moving into second with a 6-1 home win over Cellar House.
