You know that World Cup fever has taken hold when an historic building in the centre of Norwich has a giant St George's cross hanging from it.

The owners of Dipple and Conway Opticians on Castle Meadow are showing their support for the boys in Brazil by making their shop front a giant England flag.

Football fans Damian, Robert and James Conway, whose grandfather started the business in 1916, and Neil McDonald, practice manager, decided to do something to show their support. 'We are trying to promote some interest in England for the World Cup. It's been a slow start and we haven't had much hype about the team,' said Damian Conway.

'What we want to do is be positive, take away the negative thoughts and England might do better than we think.'

In addition to showing their support for the national team, the opticians are donating £1 to local charity Break for every pair of sunglasses sold during the World Cup.
