Norwich will be looking to maintain their perfect start to the London Two North East season when they entertain Woodford at Beeston Hyrne.

Norwich, who beat Chelmsford in their opening game, overcame very difficult weather conditions and a determined home side to prevail against Cantabrigian last week by taking total control of the second half.

Slow starts like they had last week will be severely punished by the top sides in the league so there is much work still to do for the coaches.

This weekend's visitors, Woodford, narrowly lost to Old Cooperians last week and always present a tough challenge with honours even last year, each winning at home.

Coach Jonny O'Brien said: 'I was very impressed with the second half performance from the forwards who dominated possession and the gain line.

'Some tough calls were made this week in selection which is a credit to the strength and depth of the squad this season. I'm looking forward to when the team puts together an 80-minute performance.'

Director of rugby, David Everitt, believes the first team is settling down nicely.

He said: 'We have some tough games coming up starting on Saturday against Woodford and the squad are showing a maturity in their decision making that has been lacking in the past by changed the way they played in the wet conditions last week. I am confident that the leadership group within the squad are able to adapt to the conditions that they are presented with and adjust the game plan as necessary to achieve the results we are looking for.'

In London Three Eastern Counties Southwold will look to preserve their 100pc winning start to the season when they entertain Wymondham, who have also won bot their games.

Southwold beat local rivals Lowestoft & Yarmouth 54-3 last weekend after opening with a 48-5 win over Wisbech whilst Wymondham have beaten Newmarket and Crusaders so far this season.

Thetford have also won both their games so far and they will be looking to build on this tomorrow when Holt are the visitors.

Crusaders host Newmarket whilst Lowestoft & Yarmouth head to Ely. West Norfolk, who lost 35-10 at Holt last weekend, welcome Woodbridge.

There will be a minute's applause across Eastern Counties Rugby Union before the games in memory of Josh Gilbert who collapsed and died last Saturday during a game between Thurston and Hadleigh.
