Norwich City pulled out their best result of the season so far with victory at pre-season Championship title favourites Middlesbrough – and we were there from first moment to last.

Our Canaries correspondents Michael Bailey, Paddy Davitt and David Freezer were at Riverside Stadium, got the post-match verdict from City head coach Daniel Farke and his opposite number Garry Monk, as well as delivered their own analysis following City’s record-breaking fifth clean sheet on the bounce in the north east.

James Maddison’s sublime 13th minute goal was enough to earn all three points, as the Canaries’ defence once again proved a tough unit to break down.

Each and every Norwich City first-team game will see our reporters on the scene, so if you see them – especially with their cameras – say hello.

The Canaries had picked up eight points from their last four Championship outings ahead of their Middlesbrough trip, keeping a clean sheet in each of them – while also progressing to the last 16 of the Carabao Cup thanks to last week’s 3-1 win at Brentford.

However, City have had to settle for goalless draws in their two previous home league outings – including their previous game against in-form Bristol City.

Following their long midweek trip, City are on the road again come the weekend when they head for a live Sky Sports date with last season’s play-off finalists Reading, at Madejski Stadium on Saturday (5.30pm).
