Pre-season work has begun at Colney for Norwich City’s players as new head coach Daniel Farke begins his preparations with the club’s revamped squad.

New signings Christoph Zimmermann, Mario Vrancic and Marley Watkins were all involved, with loan signing Angus Gunn away in Poland at the European Under-21 Championship, alongside Canaries team-mate Jacob Murphy – ahead of this evening’s semi-final against Germany.

Farke is seen addressing the squad, with last season’s injury victim Matt Jarvis involved, as well as midfielders Graham Dorrans and Jonny Howson, despite rumours linking both with transfers away from Norfolk.

Goalkeeper coach Dean Kiely is also shown working with goalkeepers Paul Jones and Remi Matthews, with Michael McGovern, Timm Klose, Steven Naismith and Wes Hoolahan appearing to not be involved yet having been on international duty during the break.

The players are also welcomed back by board members, with majority shareholders Delia Smith and Michael Wynn Jones joined by sporting director Stuart Webber and managing director Steve Stone.

The players returned to Colney yesterday ahead of a five-day camp in Ireland next week, featuring a friendly against Cobh Ramblers on Wednesday, July 5 (7.30pm).
