Rumour mill: Norwich City among host of clubs tracking Stoke City defender Robert Huth

Robert Huth could find himself dropping into the Championship after reportedly being frozen out at top-flight Stoke City.
Boss Mark Hughes has, according to the Daily Telegraph, given the giant German defender the green light to leave the club on loan this month. The news comes as no surprise to many with Huth having played less than 10 minutes in the Premier League in the past 14 months since picking up a serious knee injury.
But those fitness issues appear not to have put off a host of second-tier teams, including Norwich City, Reading and Fulham, all of whom are thought to be keeping tabs on the former Chelsea player.
The 30-year-old made 42 appearances at Stamford Bridge after working his way up from the youth team. A move to Middlesbrough followed in 2006 where he stayed for three years before heading to the Britannia. Huth – who has this morning been charged by the FA for misconduct in relation to comments posted on social media – has featured 187 times since his arrival in the Potteries and at one time was the first-choice partner alongside Ryan Shawcross.
