Nelson Oliveira has been handed a show of support from Norwich City supporters ahead of derby day, despite his 10-game goal drought.
The Portugal international has been the main topic of conversation among Canaries supporters in the lead up to Sunday's battle with Ipswich at Carrow Road, after having a penalty saved in a 1-1 draw at Derby.
Oliveira was handed the perfect opportunity to end his search for a goal – now edging closer to two months – after James Maddison was brought down by Scott Carson late in the first half at Pride Park.
However, the former Benfica forward saw his low effort easily saved by Carson, with the frustration of his search for goals obvious as he grimaced uncomfortably in front of 1,400 travelling City fans.
Oliveira had already seen an early effort saved by the former England keeper and went close again with two efforts after the break as he stuck to his task gamely.
He also won the penalty from which Maddison rolled home an equaliser for Daniel Farke's team – and it seems his efforts during a positive result have earned him a bit more patience.

With recent signing Dennis Srbeny waiting eagerly for a proper chance to impress, having made his debut as a late substitute at Derby, we asked pinkun.com users if it was time for Oliveira to be dropped.
Just short of 70pc of more than 1,400 voters backed the 26-year-old to keep his place though, providing the Portuguese striker with some welcome backing ahead of Sunday's big game.
He scored 15 goals in 32 games during his first season as a Norwich player, including a purple patch of seven goals in seven matches in December and January.
Five goals during his opening nine matches of this campaign looked like Oliveira would continue to be City's main man but just two have followed in the next 19 games. That barren spell will soon be forgotten if he shoots down Town though.
