Norwich City goalkeeper Angus Gunn will be hoping for an international start this afternoon when England Under-21s face Holland in the opening game of their 2019 European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign.

Gunn is in boss Aidy Boothroyd’s squad alongside Manchester United keeper Dean Henderson, who is on loan at League One side Shrewsbury, and Newcastle United’s Freddie Woodman.

Boothroyd’s squad – who also face Latvia at Bournemouth on Tuesday after today’s clash in Doetinchem – features a host of men who were part of England Under-20s’ World Cup triumph.

The likes of Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, scorer of the winner against Venezuela in the tournament’s final in June, and Gunn’s rival Woodman, who saved a penalty in that game, are among those to have been brought into the under-21s.

The other sides with them in Group Four are Scotland, Ukraine and Andorra.
