The Canaries have been pipped by Premier League rivals West Ham to claim the overall title in the survey which worked out occupancy rates at every professional club in the country.

Carrow Road has been 99.71pc full this season, according to the results of research commissioned by MyVoucherCodes, with the average attendance so far 27,030.

West Ham's farewell campaign at Upton Park has attracted an average crowd of 34,930 to the Boleyn, 99.75pc of capacity.

City's East Anglian rivals, Ipswich Town, trail in 40th in the rankings with Portman Road only 63.43pc full to capacity for the Championship promotion hopefuls.

Norwich knocked Premier League big hitters Manchester United into third place (99.47pc) with Arsenal and Chelsea making up the rest of the top five.

Only two Premier League sides have seen their stadium less than 90pc full on average so far in 2015/16. With a league average of grounds being 95.86pc full, Premier League stadiums are also fuller than Europe's other major three leagues, the Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A, Germany is the only other nation with an average of more than 90pc.
