It’s possibly one of the funniest off-the-field moments in football history - and today thanks to the latest appointment at Norwich City we have the pleasure of bringing it to you.

As Mike Phelan is named as the new coach for the Canaries we can reveal the time he put the fear of God into the otherwise fearless former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

  • In Scotland, a balloon is a less than complimentary term for a fool... So we have balloons in charge of Norwich City. Why so long to appoint the fans` choice? The brain processes at Carrow Road make a sloth seem hyperactive.
