With a third successive EFL Championship defeat to digest, Norwich City correspondent Michael Bailey dishes out his video verdict and ratings following the Canaries’ 2-1 loss at struggling Bolton Wanderers.

Goals from Gary Madine and Adam Armstrong consigned Daniel Farke’s team to a third successive Championship defeat, with Josh Murphy’s consolation proving far too late to salvage anything.

The defeat was City’s first away from home in the league since August.

City headed into the game off the back of successive Carrow Road defeats, to promotion hopefuls Derby County and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively.

However their form on the road had remained superb and were aiming for a club record-equalling fifth successive away league win if they picked up three points at the Macron Stadium.

Bolton had to wait until mid October to pick up the first Championship win of their return from League One. Three draws followed, helping lift them off the foot of the table.

Their previous draw came at Sunderland, with the 3-3 result spelling the end of Black Cats manager Simon Grayson.

The final international break of 2017 now arrives following Saturday’s northern outing. When Farke’s Canaries return, they welcome Paul Heckingbottom’s Barnsley and Alex Neil’s Preston to Carrow Road on successive Saturdays – sandwiching a trip to Mark Warburton’s Nottingham Forest.
