West Ham are counting the cost of their FA Cup win over Liverpool with several players nursing knocks ahead of their trip to Carrow Road.

The Hammers lost three players during their 2-1 win over the Reds with three more struggling at the end of a gruelling tie.

Winston Reid and Joey O’Brien pulled up injured, Cheikhou Kouyate took a whack on the head, Enner Valencia would surely have gone off had all the substitutes not already been used, while Michail Antonio and Andy Carroll also appeared to pick up knocks.

With James Tomkins, Manuel Lanzini and Diafra Sakho already sidelined, manager Slaven Bilic could be thin on numbers ahead of Saturday’s Barclays Premier League trip to Norwich.

“Unfortunately we had to pay the price with a few of them and we can only hope they won’t be out for long,” said Bilic.

“Cheikhou felt a little uncoordinated but hopefully he will be okay. Enner looks like a bruise. Joey hadn’t played for long time so we hope it’s just tightness, but with Reid it doesn’t look good to me.”

  • I was talking to my WH mate over the border today and told him the same thing Dingo! People are playing their first games ( Whatmore of Sunderland and the Man City lad with the impossible name to name but two) to whom we are so charitable. Look at Agbonalahor. You just knew he was gong to get his first goal of the season and he did......aided by Declan sadly. Think JR will return. We won't beat Leicester so WH reserves our best option!

  • Looks a bit that way Albert .Is there any light at the end of the tunnel. I think there could be but it seems that Alex Neil is constantly fiddling with the team and needs a top assistant to get City back on track. Several here ha

  • Oh well, if their injuries recover or not it won't really be an issue, will it? I'm sure they've Reserves we've barely heard of who will ensure they leave Carrow Road with three points. Fail to win this one and we ARE down, believe me.
