Our Norwich City correspondent David Freezer has posted his marks following the Canaries' 1-0 home loss to Stoke.

Here is David's verdict on Daniel Farke's players, who were beaten for the first time in seven league games to bring an end to an eight-match unbeaten run in all competitions...

• Tim Krul

Another quiet home shift for City's number one, no chance with the goal after Timm Klose diverted Cuco Martina's cross past him. 6

• Max Aarons

Shook off doubts about tiredness with a fine display, showing his defensive strength and trying to get forward. Double denial of James McClean brought a roar from the Snake Pit and also halted the much bigger Benik Afobe early in the second half. 8

• Christoph Zimmermann

Plenty of solid defensive work and reliable in possession again but relieved to see Tom Ince fire wide midway through the second half after losing physical battle with Afobe. 7

• Timm Klose

Very good performance other than one horrible, decisive moment as he rashly dived to try and block Martina's cross only to divert the ball into his own box. Commanding at the back and played his part in keeping attacks going late on. 7

• Jamal Lewis

Really bright going forward and forced the best save from Jack Butland with a driving effort after being played in by Emi Buendia but couldn't get a grip on Ince defensively. 6

• Alex Tettey (replaced by Vrancic, 81)

Full of the usual hustle and bustle but again showing the urge to push forward in attack, although didn't always know what to do once he got there. Couldn't unleash any shooting chances on goal. 7

• Moritz Leitner

Kept the game ticking over with sharp passing but lost his cool in the second half, beating the turf in frustration as City failed to make progress. Not quite as effective as recent weeks but still proved a pivotal part of the attacking play. 7

• Emi Buendia (replaced by Hernandez, 71)

Created the game's best chance when he found Lewis early on but also lost the ball consistently, often wanting too much time in possession. Relieved to see Ince fire at Krul after being robbed in midfield. 6

• Marco Stiepermann (replaced by Rhodes, 71)

Understanding with Todd Cantwell obvious again, some nice turns to link with Teemu Pukki. Pulled one chance over the bar, stung Butland's gloves with another and a fine first-half pass to Lewis which saw a cross just evade Pukki. 7

• Todd Cantwell

Some really classy attacking play at times but wasn't tracking Martina ahead of the goal, with Ince keeping Lewis busy. Teed up Stiepermann early and sparked a couple of other moves, growing in confidence. 7

• Teemu Pukki

Superb start to the season caught up with him, full of willing but lacking in energy. Has eight goals in 14 games for club and country so far, has started all 14 and completed 11 of them. Drove a shot at Butland late on. 6

SUBSTITUTES

• Onel Hernandez (for Buendia, 71)

Injected hope as he returned after five games out recovering from hernia surgery. Had the beating of Erik Pieters and caused some late havoc but couldn't force a decisive moment. 7

• Jordan Rhodes (for Stiepermann, 71)

Plenty of energy but little chance to have much of an effect, saw a late shot just inside the box thwarted in the final moments of the match. 6

• Mario Vrancic (for Tettey, 81)

Whipped one free-kick across the face of Butland's goal and was barged over in the box late on as he was about to shoot, which could easily have earned a penalty. 7
