Michael Bailey reports from Carrow Road as Norwich City earn their first home win for new manager Alex Neil – but they do it the hard way once again.

Three goals to the good at half-time, the Canaries were left hanging on come the final whistle – but hang on they did, making it five wins from seven games as the majority of their Championship promotion rivals also win.

City boss Alex Neil and Bluebirds manager Russell Slade also give their verdicts on City’s Championship victory.

  • Just caught up with the highlights - MP doesn't seem to be that interested and yes as mentioned below, folded arms and crossed legs that's NOT interested AND after the whistle AN seemed to shake everybody's hand but NOT MP's - Interesting!

  • Whether it is a player or one of the backroom team, if he is not interested and enthusiastic, get rid. If they want to go through the motions, they can get a job at the sewerage works.

  • That piccy makes it look like he is actually trying to wind up Cardiff's owner , the inscrutable Mr Tan . Mick Phelan looks as if he is on the beach at Yarmouth , and Gary Holt like one of the ladies-of-the-evening from Rouen road . I expect its the high-cut shorts and ankle tattoo which helps that image . WHY do the coaches dress in Football kit when they have no intention of playing any football ?

  • well all the fans are seeing what I am seeing, folded arms is a defensive mode,as is cross legged.Last season and early this season all the coaches were negative.Delia should get a Body language coach in too see who is interested in the club and who are turning up for their wages.Am currently watchinga city old boy "Brucie and he is animated and giving advice to his players)not like MP and GH(if they want to comment let them) cos they are definitely not pro Norwich.City fans for nearly 60 years. • Interesting body language from Messrs Holt and Phelan, one with the dreaded folded arms and the other nonchalantly leaning back in a disengaged manner. Will they be staying when the new assistant from Hamilton arrives??y

  • Aha! Now I think I see how this works. Looking at the picture of AN above, is his tactic to control the players by mind control, a la Professor Xavier of XMen fame?

  • Olsen had something else on his mind for the first... be interesting to see what emerges defensively from this week because Brentford will be a bigger challenge next weekend. Good to see Lafferty score.
