KO

Tuesday, 7:45pm, Adams Park. This season’s competition goes straight to penalties if the sides are level after normal time.

NORWICH TEAM NEWS

Marco Stiepermann has a hip flexer issue but Daniel Farke indicated on Monday he would travel to Wycombe.

Farke reported no fresh injury concerns from the 1-0 Championship win at QPR but promises changes for a third consecutive away game.

Ivo Pinto is back in the squad after a development run out on Friday at Colney following a hamstring problem. Compatriot Nelson Oliveira also featured last week for Matt Gill’s squad but remains out of Farke’s first team plans.

Ben Marshall (illness) returned to full training on Monday but is targeting Wigan’s weekend league visit.

Onel Hernandez is back in light training following hernia surgery and could return before the next international break. Kenny McLean (ankle) remains on the sidelines. The Scottish international had another injection in recent days as City’s medical staff try to step up his rehab.

Grant Hanley is poised to be out for another month with a quad injury. Matt Jarvis (knee) and Carlton Morris (knee) are longer term absentees.

WYCOMBE TEAM NEWS

Gareth Ainsworth has no fresh injury worries, which means Anthony Stewart, Adam El-Abd and Nathan Tyson remain sidelined.

FROM THE DUGOUT

“For them it will be like the game of the year so far. They know if they are able to beat us and reach the fourth round they have a big chance to get Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and that could mean earning lots of money.

“It could be a game changer.

“They will be highly motivated with their strongest available team and lots of support from the fans. The expectation is different compared to playing a Cardiff or Chelsea and Arsenal last season.”

“A big game. Big for the club. The Carabao Cup is huge for us now because you are almost guaranteed a big tie in the next round.

“I am going to give it our all. We’ll have to see how the legs are because it was a momentous effort on a big pitch (2-2 League One draw at Portsmouth on Saturday), wet pitch, the ball was sticking around.

“The players ran themselves into the ground.”
