Daniel Farke is not making any rash predictions about Nelson Oliveira's long term Norwich City future.

The arrival of Jordan Rhodes and Teemu Pukki could indicate the striker is surplus to requirements at Carrow Road.

Oliviera was absent again for Thursday's behind-closed-doors 2-0 friendly win over Crawley Town at Colney, although Farke insisted fans should not read too much into Oliveira's slow start to pre-season.

The 26-year-old was quoted in the Portuguese media earlier this summer hinting he could be set for a new challenge, but City's head coach is not into playing guessing games.

'I can't predict anything. I am not a magician. I can not see the future,' he said. 'But a player like Nelson with quality and potential, it is quite normal they will be linked with other clubs. We will see what happens.

'We had several players who have not been involved so far either because they have some injury problems or like Nelson they arrived a little bit later. He was nearly one week later. We have many strikers for this moment in pre-season and we want to focus on introducing players like Jordan Rhodes or Teemu Pukki.

'For us, it is also important to give these guys minutes on the pitch.

'You can't have enough quality strikers on this level. If you look at Lincoln we started with two strikers and brought a third one on. I am not too concerned to have too much quality in this area.'

Norwich have done the bulk of their transfer business but Farke reiterated they are always on the look out.

'We still have to be awake a bit because in this business you never know,' he said. 'You have to be aware of injuries or interest in our players from other clubs. We have to watch the market but in general we are in a really, really good position.

'You look at the topics we had to work on, we needed an option for Ivo Pinto because we just had one proper right back last season and thankfully Harrison Reed was pretty good for us in that position. Right now, we added some quality in this position and in terms of scoring goals and across midfield.

'We have a good feeling with the squad.

'We only draw a line once the transfer window is closed. My feeling is we have done a lot of good work in this area and we have also brought players in early, in terms of preparing them and getting them integrated into our group.

'We are much further on compared to this time last summer. We are much more settled.'
