Championship trio Derby County, Birmingham and Sunderland all want Norwich City’s out of favour striker Cameron Jerome.
Jerome is heavily tipped for a transfer window exit this month after falling behind Nelson Oliveira in the pecking order at Carrow Road.
The Sun report the promotion-hunting Rams, plus Sunderland and his former club, Birmingham, have joined another of his old clubs, Cardiff, in the race to sign the 31-year-old.
Jerome could be available for £1.5m, with the Sun claiming City would be willing to listen to offers for the experienced forward in a bid to further reduce the wage bill.
Blues’ chief Steve Cotterill has made tentative enquiries to entice Jerome back to St Andrews in a bid to fire the Second City club up the Championship table, while both Derby chief Gary Rowett and Bluebirds’ boss Neil Warnock are looking to pep up their frontlines for the promotion push.
Jerome signed a new Norwich deal in June 2016 keeping him at the club until 2019, with an additional one year option.
The frontman has endured an injury-hit season in recent weeks but had scored twice in 17 appearances for Daniel Farke.
Jerome has notched 38 goals in 130 league appearances since moving to Carrow Road in 2014 and was a key figure in City’s Championship play-off success in 2014/15 - notching the opening goal at Wembley to beat Middlesbrough.
Meanwhile, the Scotsman report Jerome’s club mate, Steven Naismith, could be offered a loan escape back to his first Scottish club, Kilmarnock.
Naismith made it clear last month he needs first team football, after recovering from an ankle problem, with Rangers touted as another possible destination.
Farke reiterated he wanted Naismith to stay and fight for his place but the Scot has made just three senior appearances this season.
The 31-year-old spent four years at Rugby Park before moving onto Ibrox in 2007.
