Daniel Farke admits Norwich City's crisis of confidence at Carrow Road is a big worry.

The Canaries' 1-1 Championship draw against Barnsley extended their winless run to six games in front of their own fans.

'Yes, I think the players have this in their heads maybe they are struggling a little bit at home,' said Farke. 'When you add to that we have lost some recent games it is not so easy for the self-confidence.

'It is not about me doing something psychological or speaking to them. It is about working hard on the pitch to get it back.

'I don't want to make excuses about a loss of confidence but of course they are not full of belief. We have to put away any thoughts it is a difficult period.

'We scored with an early goal so you think that would help the self-confidence. We want to play good football for our supporters. I think we can play much better and entertain. We didn't in this game.

'We can force things more. We can be there with a better attitude, to be awake and concentrating on our details. I don't want us to wait for a win, but to force one. We have to be more brutal in the duels.

'We lost a lot, especially in the forward areas.

'I don't mean only Nelson (Oliveira) because he is there with two or three players but in general. If your passing is not good enough it is even more important.'

MORE: Have your say on our Pinkun forumCity's misfiring midfield was firmly in Farke's sights but the German looks set to make at least one change for Tuesday's trip to Nottingham Forest with Tom Trybull suffering a hip injury.

'He had two or three blows on the same area. We have to wait but the information I had was we might have to do without at Nottingham. It will depend on what the doctor and any scan says,' he said.

'You have two opportunities. You either improve the player or change the player.

'For sure, I am concerned because the centre of the pitch is the heart of the game. It is so important. I don't want to moan about individual players too much.

'In general, we were not good enough in that area and we didn't control the game. But there were easy mistakes in all parts of the pitch with our passing. The good thing in the Championship is the next game comes along very soon and we will look forward to do some improvements.'

Grant Hanley's assured display in only his second league start for the Canaries following his summer move from Newcastle United was a positive.

'We had the feeling before the international break it is no problem to bring him in,' said Farke. 'He is good shape, he is good for the group and with Grant I was really content.'
