Steve Eastaugh has reacted swiftly to his side’s poor start to the Bostik League Division One North season by making two signings this week.

The Planters have lost both of their matches so far but welcome a Brentwood Town side to Plantation Park tomorrow (3pm) who have only picked up a point.

United boss Eastaugh has re-signed left-back Matt Brown, who played a significant role last season, explaining: “We are delighted to have Matt back at the club, in truth we never wanted him to leave, he has the quality we need and of course his integration back into the squad will be seamless.”

The club have also signed Norwich City academy youngster Henry Pollock on a month’s loan. Eastaugh said of the 18-year-old midfielder: “I’ve known Henry since he was an eight-year-old on Soccer Schools and he’s retained all of his hunger and tenacity he had back then as a young professional now.

“We are pleased we can give him some senior game time as he continues his development.”
