A film about the dramatic life of Norwich City player Kei Kamara is set for its first Norwich screenings.
Cinema City has agreed with US-based production company Copper Pot Pictures for the documentary, Kei, to be screened twice on Friday, March 15.
The screenings of the 25-minute film, at 8.20pm and 9.30pm, will also be raising money for a charity which the Canaries striker supports, Schools for Salone.
That is because 28-year-old Kamara was raised in war-torn west African country Sierra Leone, before fleeing to the United States aged 15.
Kamara became one of the stars of Major League Soccer in the US, earning him a loan move to Norwich in January.
The tall striker’s enthusiastic personality has already struck a chord with the Canaries faithful - not to mention a game-changing performance against Everton at the end of last month.
Kamara scored a towering header to bring City level at Carrow Road and inspired the Canaries to a 2-1 win.
Now City fans will be able to learn more about Kamara, with tickets costing £5, or £4 for Cinema City members, going on sale soon.
Schools for Salone, which is working to build a new school, will receive 65pc of the ticket proceeds.
The screenings of the film, which has a 15 age certificate, will be followed by a question and answer session with the film’s directors Dave LaMattina and Chad Walker, and producer Clay Frost, who will be flying in from the US.
Norwich City will kick off their 2013/14 Premier League season at home to Everton.
