City stars Bradley Johnson, Robert Snodgrass, Russell Martin and John Ruddy were the four players chosen to model the new kit, with a little help from some young players from the club’s academy.

The club released a similar video in 2011 to promote the club’s strip for the 2011/12 season, which was viewed over 240,000 times on video sharing website Youtube (see the link at the top-right of this page).

The new strip is designed by the club’s official kit supplier Errea and prices have been frozen at £45 for adult shirts and £35 for junior shirts.

City’s head of sales and marketing, Will Hoy, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to launch the new 2013-14 home kit today.

“Our kit suppliers Errea have done a great job in producing a top-quality, innovative new kit which the players are looking forward to wearing with pride in the Barclays Premier League next season.

“Recent home and away kits have sold tremendously well and we’re confident Errea’s eye-catching 2013-14 home strip will also prove very popular with our fantastic supporters.”

The new kit is available from 1pm today at the official Canary Stores at Carrow Road, Chapelfield Shopping Centre and the Castle Mall. Anybody who buys one of the new official shirts before Sunday, June 30 will also receive a free Errea size 5 football worth £12.

  • CanaryWest, Hughton has never been relegated and Paul Lambert said there's no doubt, Hughton's a top manager. I trust his judgement over yours. On to the kit. Truly awful, the worst I can remember. This is what happens when you hire a designer who has no appreciation of the club's history not to mention appalling taste !

  • Liz and Ged - The extrra gren represents the envy of those who linger in the championship. No doubt Marcus-the-blue-messiah-Evans will be doing a Cardiff and switching to red in a hope for better fortunes. Perhaps in honour of their manager's former club they will switch to Old Gold. Or they could just merge with Lowestoft and have a chance of winning something next year.

  • Very poor. Agree, way too much green. This season's was much better. Do they not research these before they print thousands and make YT videos? Maybe the away strip will be all yellow this year?

  • The poll indicates you are one of a majority of 54%, Hackney Canary. You`d think La Snott would like the surfeit of green in that kit. A sort of bile colour. Get back to your cauldron on Martlesham Heath with the other two old crone-ies, Liz.

  • Let's hope we keep all the players featured - thinking in particular of John Ruddy - will look a bit daft if he leaves and he's on the video - so maybe I should be an optimist and take this as a sign that he will stay (and not head off to Arsenal, or somewhere else). And it is not acceptable to not include girls - I happen to work in the field of equality and diversity and boys only imagery really should be a thing of the past...

Out goes "come on you yellows" in comes "come on you greens" .Out goes "Hughtons green and yellow army" incomes "Hughtons green and green army" . out goes "yarmy, yarmy, yarmy" in comes ???, well you get the drift. Not too sure about this kit , but will probably get used to it, however I do agree that I have seen much better looking kit design mock ups on the forums. OTBC.

  • Is it me, or isn't this the third successive season that they have released a new home kit? Last season they had added a collar to the short and that was pretty much it. I thought kits were only meant to be changed every couple of years?? I know the club need to make money, but this isn't good.
