Former Norwich City and Swansea midfielder Owain Tudur Jones is confident both teams will be playing Premier League football again next season.
The Wales international, now with Scottish Premier League club Inverness Caledonian Thistle, said he was sure last summer that both his old clubs would do well in the top flight.
In an interview for Swansea’s matchday programme, Tudur Jones, 27, said: “Pundits will say that they’ve always said both clubs would stay up, when in fact they were predicting a one-way ticket to the Championship.
“But I remember speaking to some fellow pros in the summer and telling them both teams would be fine.
“Why? Because the Swans play a different style that teams will find difficult to deal with.
“And Norwich? Well, they have the trump card in Paul Lambert. He’s a natural winner.
“Both clubs will stay up, no problem at all.”
Tudur Jones was with both Swansea and Norwich in their respective League One promotion campaigns, and featured briefly for City in the Championship last season before moving to Scotland in the summer. He was in the crowd at Wembley to see his former Swansea team-mates beat Reading in last season’s play-off final.
Norwich City defender George Francomb has agreed a new deal to stay at Carrow Road.

Thanks, TC. His name has not featured in the piddling "match reports" on teletext. He does seem to get long-term injuries somewhat. Shame.

He got injured playing for Inverness a couple of games into the season and has been out ever since, knee injury I think.

It`s odd, isn`t it Sogstar? He looked a decent player if not up to the tempo of a Lambo player. Certainly, the press showed a total lack of insight by describing him as our "biggest loss". I look at the results on a Sat and the match reports on teletext but have seen no mention of OTJ lately. A few years ago, he was a "Wunderkind" at Swansea. Then some injuries. Shame. Seems a good pro. Is the "i" paper Ipswich, by any chance? Article could have been written by Steroo under his real name.....

At the start of the season, the 'i' newspaper claimed OTJ was our biggest loss over the summer! Is he actually playing much at ICT?

btb b off. Swiss is right and it is good that Tudur Jones is so gracious. He was clearly not up to the Lambert Project but he is an honest Pro and a gentleman. He is not alone. All the other Gunn signings are gone bar Holty. Some of him has gone, which is why he`s so quick now. OTBC.

I am surpised that Mr Jones is so polite. For some reason his face never seemed to fit in Lambert's team. We seem to be a feeder club for the lower orders of the SPL.
