  • The author of `Great Expectations` is a forbidden word. Should have expected that.

  • Cards on table time. I do not like journalists - at least not the modern breed. That`s the default position. I`ve had dealings with many journos in my working life and have rarely met one I`d be pleased to meet again. Clive James is one I would and, in a previous incarnation, Charles Di*kens.

  • With the added value of that rare quality - sincerity. You do not see that in reality TV or most journalism. The two genres are part of the same system - take the p**s out of the public and enjoy watching them let you.

  • LYB, not at all. It`s that these journos set themselves up as "experts" (why are they?) then patronise the thinking public by echoing back what they`ve plagiarised from them. Sort of didactic esotericists sans the brain. Remember, in the world of Prolix Paddy, we are mere "keyboard warriors"; critics, detractors and "those on the margins". caleb, we`ll still be in the Prem next season. It`s an expert opinion - not mine, of course!

  • If journalists pay attention to fans and consider their opinions in forming their own, is that necessarily a bad thing Brewer?

  • Journos regurgitating considered opinions from the fans. As usual. Experts? What experts??
