After Bradley Johnson opened the scoring before the break, Stoke piled on the pressure in the second half but couldn’t find a way past the Canaries’ goalkeeper, John Ruddy.

“We’re just not getting that bit of luck at the moment,” he said.

“We were getting in good areas in the second half, it’s just the finish that’s letting us down at the moment.

“Hopefully the quality will come through soon.”

Begovic believes referee Andre Marriner called it wrong when awarding a free-kick to Robert Snodgrass, which led to the winner.

“I think the hesitation in his decision was most disappointing because he wasn’t going to give it at first and then he changed his mind.”

  • I suppose that`s "long-goings", Doc! Pulis is NOT a gentleman. Hughton most certainly is. What a breath of fresh air in the oft-times foetid world of football.

  • No, what was most disappointing is the fact that Pulis was the only person in the ground to think that was not a foul on Snoddy. The man nearly hasd his shirt off his back, as was clearly shown on MoTD on Saturday night. And Pulis showed his ignorance by his lack of restraint in the technical area when remonstrating with the 4th official. Idiot.

  • It's always useful to blame someone else. That way you don't have to look at your own shortcomings, or long balls out of defence!

  • All this moaning about the ref giving wrong decisions, if my memory serves me right, wasn't it against Stoke last season when the ref gave a throw in against us when it was blatantly our throw, throwing the back line into chaos because they had all pushed up, allowing the Stoke winger to cut in and score the winner. Don't seem to remember a huge amount of moaning from Norwich, only Lambert saying we should have been more alert.
