Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony took to Twitter to convey his disappointment over his side’s poor display against the Canaries.
A near capacity crowd, including 5,000 Norwich fans, saw the Canaries cruise into the fourth round of the FA Cup thanks to goals from Elliott Bennett, Simeon Jackson and Robert Snodgrass.
And MacAnthony was fuming at the way his side capitulated after going behind and accused his team of failing to “show up”.
“Mainly a second string Norwich side who were totally professional in their approach and work rate start to finish with quality,” said MacAnthony on the social media website. “Never had cup run or earned decent money from cup since I’ve owned club and didn’t turn up to win today. So ******* angry, really angry.”
MacAnthony praised the fans from both clubs and apologised for not giving the punters the cup tie that many expected.
“Have to say magnificent support from Posh & Norwich fans. So so sorry my team didn’t show up and give you all the game you deserved.”
In the second of a three-part series dissecting the Canaries’ successful battle to retain their Premier League status, Norwich City writer Paddy Davitt examines the relationship between the artists and the artisans in Norwich’s midfield.

He should not feel so bad, our Norwich is turning into a very very good passing side, think about that goal against Sunderland 26 passes. It was not completely second string some very influential players on the field

I am sure that motivation in the Posh dressing room will not be at an all-time high after this lot. What's next, the P'boro groundsman wellies in with his opinions on an X-rated YouTube shortie?

Twitter`s not always a good idea really, is it? Makes it too easy for people not to keep their own counsel.
