The 24-year-old has joined the League One club in a loan move that will keep him at the County Ground until January 5.

Martin has been limited to just three appearances for Norwich City this season under Chris Hughton - playing in the Capital Cup wins over Scunthorpe and Doncaster Rovers along with an 87th minute appearance as a substitute against QPR in the Premier League fixture back in August.

The Beccles-born striker has scored 34 goals in 117 appearances for the Canaries.

  • What has happened to that young man`s career? Top manager (PL), top role model (Holty) and top mentor (Hoolahoop), yet he`s heading for L1 Swindon. Will we get a fee for him anytime?

  • Make or break Chris. You'll be playing for a manager who knew how to score a few goals. Learn from him then come back and show the premiership what you can do. You have all the skills and there is no reason why you couldn't be a top striker. Go for it.

  • You are right....this young man is a talent unrealised. Sadly most of it seems to have been self inflicted. He had the potential to be Grant Holts permanent partner.

  • yarco, I`ve been whittering on about it since the end of last season when contract arrangements started to be sorted out. We stand to get zilch for a player who will probably stand as a role model for how not to make the best of one`s opportunities. What a waste. What went wrong?
