Norwich City midfielder Robert Snodgrass will not face disciplinary action for his criticism of referee Mark Clattenburg on Twitter.
Clattenburg awarded a second-minute penalty to West Ham – who went on to beat the Canaries 2-1 at Upton Park – for shirt-pulling by Ryan Bennett on Winston Reid.
Snodgrass, 25, later tweeted: “The referee kills the game. If that’s a pen you will need to give 100 pens a season, small decisions change games.”
The FA confirmed there will be no action against Snodgrass – players and managers can criticise refereeing decisions so long as they do not imply any bias. The FA’s social media rules state action may be taken for “comments about match officials which imply bias, attack the officials’ integrity or which are personally offensive in nature”.
Clattenburg was also under fire later in the game when he turned down two City penalty claims.

Ask the Ref. (Apologies to the Guardian) 1) A player with a yellow shirt is fouled in the opponents' penalty area, What does the ref do? 2) A Noriwch player is standing in his own penalty area and the ball is played to an opposing forward standing near him who then falls over. What do you do? 3) you haven't given a yellow card all game, the crowd is still abusing you, and you're live on TV. What do you do? Answers: 1. Give a penalty against Norwich 2. Wave away the penalty appeal. If Norwich player is wearing a no. 9 shirt, book him. 3. Give a straight red and smile for the cameras.

IF battenberg had been right, then surely the comments from Snoddy would have landed him in the soup. Therefore the authorities must agree that battenburg got it wrong again and screwed up another football game in the premier .I expect no action from the FA , he is a favoured child
