Norwich City winger Robert Snodgrass was released from hospital late on Tuesday night and will travel back to Norwich today.
Snodgrass suffered concussion after a collision with Rafael da Silva in the 4-0 Capital One Cup defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford and was taken straight to hospital for precautionary checks.
Nathan Redmond was also substituted with a hip muscle problem, and City boss Chris Hughton now has to deal with a few injuries in the squad.
Hughton told the club;s official website: “We have a tight squad as it is and we need to make sure as many as possible are ok for the weekend, because of course we lost Alex Tettey in the last game too.
“Unfortunately for us we’ve picked up a few injuries this week, but it’s one we’ve got to work around.
“In the first half there were some good bits and some bad bits, but we gave the ball away a bit too cheaply.
“If we would have gone in at half-time at 0-0, we would have been lifted by the score-line and that should have been the case because we had a penalty given against us that was never a penalty.
“That gave Manchester United a lift, and then it’s the second goal that really hurt us. At 2-0 it becomes tougher, and they just showed how clinical they are.”
Norwich City captain Sebastien Bassong has signed a new contract with the club, adding an extra year to his current contract.
