Norwich City’s Jed Steer joins Cambridge United on loan

Norwich City goalkeeper Jed Steer has joined Blue Square Premier side Cambridge United on a one-month loan deal.
Steer has gone to the Abbey Stadium to gain first team experience and is set to return to Carrow Road on December 8.
This is the 20-year-old’s second loan spell following three months at League One side Yeovil Town last season, where he made 14 appearances.

Got to be better than hardly getting any games. This lad was 'on the bench' for much of last season and now is number 4 in line. Would have been nice to see him in Div 1 or or 2 but I recently watched a Blue Square Premier League match (Dartford v Mansfield) and really enjoyed it - in fact a lovely game. Did not see one physio all the game. No diving or usual histrionics - just superb flowing football. Good luck, Jed - hope you do well and enjoy it.

Do you people think he would have been sent to Cambridge if League 1 or Championship clubs were knocking on the door for him at the moment? Think. Get a grip. Good luck Jed, and hope bigger clubs come calling later. But any chance of first team football is better than none.

Not wanting to seem harsh on Cambridge, both Steer and Rudd have shown their potential when playing for the first team. They both need long loan spells (with recall options) with League 1 or even Championship teams to be able to progress, both for their sake and for City's
