Liverpool are hopeful striker Daniel Sturridge will be fit for this Sunday’s Premier League clash against Norwich City at Carrow Road.
The former Chelsea man suffered a hamstring strain during the Reds’ 3-2 win over Manchester City last weekend but, after being assessed by physios, he has not been ruled out of the clash against the Canaries.
A report on the club’s website, www.liverpoolfc.com, read: “A small strain was detected following a scan.
“The 24-year-old will now undergo a treatment programme in order to try and be available for the trip to Carrow Road.”
Liverpool are two points clear of Chelsea at the top of the table and know that victories in their final four games will secure a first title since 1990.
Norwich are just as desperate for the points with Neil Adams’ men looking to repair the damage caused by losing against relegation rivals Fulham last weekend.
