The finals of the South East Group Under-18 League were held at Hockley Golf Club in Hampshire, with the Norfolk team giving a good account of themselves.

For the second year in a row Norfolk qualified with a match to spare and relished the thought of another assault on the title.

However, they were up against strong teams from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxon and Surrey and finished third, with all but two of the matches going to the 18th.

All the boys represented Norfolk in a professional manner in what for many was their final taste of junior golf.

For 2018 onwards of the eight of players who represented Norfolk this year only three will be young enough to compete.

The boys moving out are James Lambert, Finley Heywood, Josh Emery, Warren Bates and Jack Cullington and county officials thanked them for the service they have given to Norfolk Juniors and wished them all the best for the future.
