Long-serving City of Norwich Athletics Club member Dani Nimmock's consistent hard work over many years has been rewarded with her first senior international selection.

Nimmock will represent England in the Lillebaelt Half Marathon in Denmark on May 5.

Recording a personal best of 1:14.13 in the London Big Half Marathon early in March proved to be her big breakthrough race. This was followed by a scorching Gorleston Cliffs 5km Park Run in which she posted a time of 16:46, the fastest time recorded on the day, in the UK, by a lady.

Before she heads to Denmark, Nimmock will take part in next Sunday's Manchester Marathon in which she will be lookign for a new PB.

Trained by her husband, Mark, Nimmock's CV includes the 2007 English Schools Senior Girls 3,000m title and in 2008 she travelled to Dusseldorf where she represented England in an Under 23 Cross Country International.
