The Classic Sports Car Club provides some of the most entertaining racing seen at Snetterton, with full grids of classic sports and saloon cars plus a sprinkling of modern machinery to whet the appetite of all motorsport fans.

In the Tin Top series the Peugeot 306 of Nigel Tongue is looking for revenge, having lost victory to Steven Simpson in last year's event, but both will be keeping a sharp eye on Russell Hird and his extremely fast Honda Integra.

There will be an intriguing battle in the New Millennium event with Simon Harrison's Holden VXR8 up against Graham Charman's Ginetta G55 and the Jeremy Cooke/Mike Dowd BMW M3 GT4 while Robert Fellows and his North Walsham co-driver Andrew O'Connell aim for success in the NM category.

Interest in the Classic K race will surround the battle between a quartet of Lotus Elans and the Michael Gray/Kallum Gray Jaguar E Type with the Allen Tice/Chris Conoley Marcos 1800 GT and Chris Blewett's Ginetta G12 thrown into the mix as well, but the locally built Lotuses are deceptively quick at their home track.

The popular Swinging Sixties is the oldest of the CSCC categories and produces some terrific racing, with Suffolk's Ian Everett aiming to repeat last year's narrow victory over Tim Cairns in the Group 1 race.

In the Group 2 event Jon Wolfe/David Thompson head the V8-powered contenders with their potent TVR Tuscan while Ray Barrow's Chevy Camaro is fast but often needs nurturing to complete the 40-minute race while Norwich's Malcolm Johnson is a leading Class H runner.

There will be two shorter races for the Morgan Challenge competitors with the field once again chasing Keith Ahlers. Rikki Cann's Aston Martin V8 will probably lead the way in the Future Classics race with the pair of Triumph TR7 V8s of Martyn Adams and Jon Fox giving enthusiastic chase. The Magnificent Sevens are celebrating their 10th year and will again provide high quality close racing.

The Jaguar Saloon and GT Championship completes the 13-race programme, with Saturday's action starting at 1.35pm and Sunday's at 1pm.
