Spixworth stayed top of the Anglian Combination Premier Division despite being held to a goalless draw by Norwich CEYMS. Third-placed CEYMS are level on points with Spixworth on 17 points with Acle sandwiched between the pair.
Last season’s Sterry Cup winners also had to settle for a point after a 1-1 draw at Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves. James Foreman was on target for Acle with Daniel Tacon replying for the Royals.
Dersingham Rovers are handily-placed after a 3-0 win over Caister courtesy of goals from Zak Fountain, Robert Palmer and Ashley Keegan. Rovers are four points off leaders Spixworth but have a game in hand.
Blofield United and Reepham Town fought out an exciting 2-2 draw. whilst bottom-placed Beccles picked up their first win of the season as Aiden Lowe’s goal gave them a 1-0 win over Wymondham.
Lewis Butcher’s double helped St Andrews to a 3-2 win over Wroxham Reserves whilst James Weston got the winner in Loddon United’s 1-0 victory over Cromer Town.
Hellesdon leapfrogged Foulsham at the top of the First Division after a 4-2 win at Stalham Town.
Braces from Jamie Hall and Glenn Spooner helped them to victory as goals from Jamie Duffied and Darren Patterson proved nothing more than consolations.
Foulsham slipped to second place after going down to a 3-2 defeat at Hindringham, whose goals came from Lee West, Kevin Wittred and Karl Pask.
North Walsham swept to a 3-1 win at home to Horsford United whilst Karl Bush got both goals for Bradenham Wanderers as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Harleston Town.
Mundford won the battle of the basement boys as they beat bottom-placed Corton 4-3 and Aylsham drew 2-2 with Poringland Wanderers.
