Dereham Town will have a new face in their squad when they travel to Barkingside this afternoon.
Matt Henman, who earlier this term used Lynn’s ‘keeper Alex Street for a couple of matches, has tapped into Gary Setchell’s higher-level squad again. This time he has signed promising defender Ryan Fryatt on a dual registration deal which will see the centre-back feature for the Magpies in their next two matches.
Henman, in a statement on Dereham’s website, said: “Ryan is coming in for the next two games to provide experienced cover while we are struggling with recent injuries and suspensions in a key area. The move is great news as he is an experienced lad who knows the level of football and has played at it in the past and we are very pleased to have him on board. The move is good for Lynn as well as it will mean that Ryan gets some valuable match time, which is important for every player at any level. It also means we have still field a strong squad which gives us the right options in our next two games.”
Wroxham meanwhile will be looking to draw inspiration from their FA Cup win at Peterborough Northern Star as their attentions turn to Waltham Abbey. The Yachtsmen will include Bartek Pelka in their squad for their away Ryman Division One North match. The club have received international clearance for the 21-year-old, who used to play semi-pro in Poland before moving to Norwich this year.
