In-form Dereham Town prepare to host Steve Fallon’s Soham Town Rangers side later this evening and Aldiss Park boss Matt Henman is expecting another tough test.
Dereham had to settle for a draw at Barkingside on Saturday despite Danny Beaumont opening the scoring and Henman is expecting a similarly tough assignment tonight.
He said: “There are no easy games in this league and Soham will be no different, they haven’t had the best of starts but they are certainly not to be taken lightly. It is on our own pitch so we know what to expect and we know we can get the ball down, play our football and cause them problems.
“We go into the game with good form and we are now four games unbeaten which has given us all a boost mentally and it’s nice to be coming into games with good forward momentum.
“If we can win our home games then it takes the pressure off when we go away from home and as long as we are performing well and picking up points, we will all be very happy.
“The lads have worked very hard of late and we have been rewarded in the points we have picked up.”
The Magpies chief hopes his side can pick up three more points this evening after admitting his side didn’t quite do enough at the weekend to merit victory.
“On the balance of play I thought a draw was about fair on Saturday, we created some good chances and battled well especially in the second half which we will need to do again tonight.
“Taking chances will be key again and while a few things didn’t help us on Saturday I was pleased with the result and the performance.
“We have got options in our squad and with three games in seven days we will be looking to use that squad over the next two games. We will still have Ryan Fryatt for tonight so he will be involved and hopefully we will know more about a few of our injuries going into Saturday.”
