The Greens, third in the Eastern Counties league’s top-tier, are three points behind Felixstowe & Walton United. But they have played two games less and could even leapfrog them if they win by five clear goals or more this afternoon at Emerald Park.

Elsewhere, Kirkley & Pakefield visit troubled Ely City, Norwich United entertain runaway league leaders Hadleigh United and Thetford Town welcome Brightlingsea Regent.

In the First Division, league leaders Fakenham Town will once again be without a fixture after their trip to Saffron Walden Town fell foul of the weather.

Improving Downham Town – who have this week signed Danny Emmington and Sam Darlow – welcome Braintree Town Reserves while Swaffham Town make the trip to Halstead Town.

Lee Hackleton has won his first two games in charge of Great Yarmouth Town and will be targeting a third success at Cornard United.

The new Bloaters boss said: “I think we have a squad that is both good enough to win promotion and win the cup (First Division Knockout Cup).

“I’m not going to go into any game thinking ‘that’s a priority, that’s a priority’ – everything is a priority to me. We must win every week if possible. Promotion is just as key as is winning the Knockout Cup.”
