Richard Daniels enjoyed his first win in four games since taking over at Diss with a 3-1 win over Yarmouth Town at the Wellesley.
New signings Matt Dixon, Ashley Skeggs and Walter Rocha were on target for the Tangerines.
After a goalless first half Dixon put Diss ahead in the 58th minute, George Barnden equalising with a long-range effort 10 minutes later. Goals from Skeggs and Rocha put the tie beyond doubt.
Downham Town boss Garth Good and assistant Pete Brassett resigned in the wake of 3-2 defeat to Reepham.
