Lewis Rose adds to King’s Lynn Stars’ woes
King’s Lynn Stars have received a further blow with the news that reserve Lewis Rose has suffered a broken collarbone.
The 27-year-old crashed while on SGB Championship duty with Newcastle at Edinburgh on Friday. The Berkshire based racer now faces a spell on the sidelines, leaving club bosses with further decisions to make.
“It’s the same collarbone I broke before,” said Rose. “I’ve bent the plate and pulled a couple of the screws through. I’m heading back home to sort an operation.”
The Stars are back in action on Wednesday when they host Rye House at The Adrian Flux Arena.
They will be hoping for a better night than their last outing at home when they were beaten by Poole Pirates when long delays left supporters frustrated.
The club has since apologised and owner Buster Chapman has urged fans not to turn their backs on the Stars. “I’m determined to bounce back from this,” he said.
