King’s Lynn Stars’ Daniel Nermark is celebrating tonight after seeing off reigning champion Andreas Jonsson to clinch his first Swedish Championship.
Nermark’s shock victory came courtesy of an inspired display in Vetlanda which saw him finish ahead of five-time champion Jonsson, Thomas H Jonasson and 2008 winner Magnus Zetterstrom in a thrilling final.
Lynn’s Swede picked up 12 points in the heats before winning a race-off against Speedway Grand Prix rider Peter Ljung to secure his shot at glory.
The 34-year-old, who has been riding at number four for Lynn, should be back in action for the Stars at Birmingham tomorrow.
Norwich City has released the first images of its new kit for the 2013/14 Premier League season - and released an online video to promote it.
