Defender Ward has finished his temporary spell with Dereham Town while striker Sanders, on loan from Boston United, has found a solution to the work commitments which looked set to end his time at The Walks.

The duo go into Lynn’s squad for today’s home match with Frickley Athletic and it provides a massive plus for Gary Setchell who is already without a host of players.

Lynn’s boss said: “It’s bodies who can play for us, which we need. We’re thin on the ground.

“It’s testing times for me, the players and the football club. If we were say fifth or sixth from bottom you’d have to say we’d be on red alert to get bodies in. We’re still trying to bring in one or two, to have a look at a few players, but it isn’t easy at this time of the season.”

Goalkeeper Ashley Timms, defenders Ryan Fryatt and Jason Lee, and midfielder Gary Mills will all definitely miss this afternoon’s game due to injury. Playmaker David Bell is also ruled out due to a family wedding, which Setchell knew about when he signed. Andy Hall (injury) remains a doubt as does striker Massiah McDonald due to illness.

“Charley was never sent back to Boston as such, so we still had him on loan until the end of the season,” added Setchell.

“It’s just he had work commitments which meant we thought he wasn’t going to be able to play for us again. He’s sorted work out now so he can play football which is a boost for him and us.”

The Linnets, 10th in the Evo-Stik Premier Division following back-to-back promotions, will be looking to return to winning ways after losing their last five games in all competitions.
